Hey ya’ll welcome to my blog!

My name is Maria and I’m from a small country town called Luray, Virginia. I grew up in a family of 6 with 2 amazing parents and 4 siblings who are now all married which gave me 3 more incredible siblings! I’m currently finishing up my senior year at Liberty University with a bachelor’s in Music and Worship Studies. One of my biggest passions and dreams is to do full time ministry and I am beyond excited to be able to jump right into that this August with the World Race! I love the outdoors, being active, hiking, kayaking, spontaneous road trips/adventures, (dairy free) ice cream, constantly being surrounded by people, board games, and of course, Jesus.

I grew up in the church and was raised by two incredible parents who love the Lord and consistently pointed me to Jesus. I remember praying the Lord’s prayer and giving my life to Jesus at the age of six, but my walk with God didn’t become real to me until my teen years. As a teenager I really struggled with knowing my identity and I found myself putting a lot of fulfillment into earthy, temporary things that I thought would bring me joy.

It was not until I knew and understood that my identity is found in the LORD, that I was able to start walking in freedom, living the life that God has called me to live. I love how Colossians 3:1-4 secures this identity we have in the Lord by saying, If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is yourlife appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.”

Because I have a personal relationship with the Lord and I cling to the hope of an eternity with him, my desire is to bring that same hope into the lives of others. I believe it is not only my desire, but my calling to live out and proclaim the Gospel and my prayer is that through my obedience to the Lord, broken hearts and lives may experience the love of God and souls will come to have the same hope that I have of an eternity with Jesus Christ.

I am incredibly excited to be doing the World Race, living out a life of constantly sharing the Gospel and bringing people the amazing hope that is found is Jesus Christ. I am excited to see all God has in store & I would love for you to join me in my ministry! Your prayers as well as financial support mean everything to me. If you’re as excited as I am, go ahead & subscribe to this blog to continue to see & be a part of the work that God is doing!!

Maria :)
